We all know about a celebrity doctor getting caught having sex with a bevy of women, well-known or otherwise. Because of their stature, such news have become quite an extravaganza. I am sure that some of you have had their fair share of being discovered while in the middle of lovemaking too. I am not exempted from this. I have had my own experiences of getting caught, literally, with my pants down. And if you all must know, I got caught twice in my lifetime.

The first time it happened, I was still a college student. My ex and I were in the living room of our house. As I reclined on the sofa, my ex pulled down my pants and worked on me down there. In the middle of our fleshy indulgence, my mother stepped in. My ex was caught, literally, with the pie in his mouth. “Oops,” was all I heard from my mother and as she immediately left the room.

I don’t remember much about the first meeting I had with my mother after the incident - maybe because it was both awkward and surreal. What I do recall was that she was more worried than angry. Whatever it was, I am glad that that episode was such a blur to me because that is just extremely embarrassing.

The second time it happened to me, my current partner and I were having lunch at this restaurant in one of the malls. Feeling frisky in the middle of our meals we rushed to his car, which was conveniently parked in the mall’s carpark building. We went straight to the backseat, stripped naked and started making out. At the height of it all, my partner gasped, “Shit! It’s the guard!” He quickly put on his clothes and went out of the car to talk to the guard. From inside the car I could see that my partner was trying to sweet talk his way out of our embarrassing predicament. Apparently, he was successful and the guard let us go.

Later on, my partner told me that the guard was actually ogling us. If my man did not catch him peeping through the car window, the guard would have watched us from beginning to end. He seemed to like what he was seeing because he had no intentions of reprimanding us until we were both done with the deed.

Although getting caught is very humiliating, I just have this giggle whenever I remember those episodes in my life. Aren’t you glad that we’re just a bunch of regular people and getting caught just end up being funny rather than controversial? I guess this is one aspect where we have an advantage over famous people. Let’s not forget to thank our lucky stars for that.
