Jsmoove Moves

In professional sports, players know and understand that the world they revolve in is still based on business. Players come and go, and so do coaches and GMs. Yep, even if these people were able to bring in a few championships. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been with a team for a day, a year, or ten. Everyone has to move on sooner or later.
Despite currently being in a 0-3 hole against Ginebra, no other team has consistently displayed the killer instinct that Red Bull has. Put a collegiate basketball player’s heart into a pro basketball player, and a Barako is what you’ll get.
In the All-Filipino conference, Red Bull was able to eliminate the very same team they gave all their players to. Magnolia had Enrico Villanueva, Larry Fonacier, and Lordy Tugade during that time. Though I am not a Red Bull fan, I was cheering for Coach Yeng’s “ragtag” crew.
It brings to mind the same team that was able to bring the Celtics to game 7 in the 1st round of the eastern conference playoffs. While you would not classify them as a ragtag team (anyone who classifies Fantasy Gold stud Josh Smith as a ragtag player is a fool), they were the last team to make it to the playoffs.
How are things looking now?
You’ve got Josh Childress packing his bags for Europe. You also have an unhappy Josh Smith doing the rounds. One just has to question what they’re trying to do down there.
They had a group of young guys who were able to push the Celts to the brink, something even the Wester Conference champs were able to do that. Without Childress and Jsmoove, a core consisting of Law, Joe Johnson and Horford isn’t going to take you too far. Needless to say, it’s time for the front office people to do their job.
As a basketball fan, this is the part that I hate. Negotiations can leave a team in shambles overnight. What can we do right?
Every basketball coach’s goal is to form a winning team. To have a winning team without a Kelly Williams or James Yap? Ask Coach Yeng how he does it. I just don’t want to see him doing throw downs on Dondon Hontiveros or Frankie Lim.
